Juanita Johnson Brock

Juanita Johnson Brock, 77, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Marion C. and Virginia Sheets Johnson.
Ms. Brock was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Townsend, and by two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her children, Earl Johnson, Ernest Brock, Marie Suttles and Mack Brock, all of Elizabethton, and Penny King, Knoxville; 21 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Junior Ward, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Juanita Johnson Brock will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, February 23, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Grindstaff officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, will be Bobby Allmon, Daniel Allmon, Fidel Compo, James King, Jared Brock and Jerry Bristol. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Johnson, Ernest Brock, Mack Brock, Richard Griffin, Jerry Irick and Daniel Wolhers. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence, 107 Brown Road, or at the residence of a son, Earl Johnson, 131 Clover Branch Road, Elizabethton.
