Violet Marie Arnold Keefer, 73, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Arnold Sr. and Tuvla Jenkins Arnold.
Mrs. Keefer was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman. She attended Milligan Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Fredrick Keefer Jr., who died December 24, 1996; a brother, Harry Arnold Jr.; and a son-in-law, Joe Sorrell.
Survivors include her children, Marty Keefer and special friend Jeremy Cupp, Elizabethton, Penny Forbes and husband Joel, Bristol, and Kim Guy and husband Jeff, of the home; five grandchildren, Wendy Gibbons and husband Dean, Cody Shell and wife Ashley, Shayla Keefer, Kaitlyn Sorrell and Dustin Sorrell; her great-grandchildren, Austin, Abby and Ethan; her special nephew, Rhudy Arnold; and a step-brother, Terry Oliver, Elizabethton.
Graveside services for Violet Marie Arnold Keefer will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Interment will follow the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
