Anna Sue Clark

Anna Sue Clark, 86, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2016, from Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tenn. She was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Myrtle Carden Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Shull, Ailene Bailey, Wanda Markland and Blondeen Parr, and two nephews, Rick and Randy Markland.
Anna Sue was born in Bluefield, W.Va., on September 12, 1929. She was raised in Hampton, Tenn., but had moved to the Valley Forge Community, where she resided for over 40 years. Anna Sue was an avid dog lover and enjoyed being with family. She was retired from Levi Strauss Company.
She is survived by her twin sister and best friend, Betty Lou Chambers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family received friends from 4 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 7, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services, Elizabethton. Friends may also call at the home of her sister, Betty Lou Chambers, at anytime. A graveside service to honor the life of Anna Sue Clark was conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 8, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Active pallbearers were Mark Markland, Phil Shull, Ralph Parr, Jimmy Parr, Will Barkley, Tony Greene, Sam Crowder and Dustin Jaynes. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Bailey, Arlene Bailey, Donnie Carden and Henry Wayne Jenkins. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O.
