I would like to say that Jon Hartman is 100 percent right concerning the industrial developing of this county. It takes planning and investing for the future and on top of that it takes officials that have leadership skills, that can think out of the box, provide leadership and get off their backside.
As a new member of county court I can say that there has not been one topic ever brought to the floor for discussion or debate concerning planning and development for the future. But, there have been hours and days expended pointing fingers and accusing everyone else of wrongdoing while we sit ideally on our thumbs! I can proudly say that the majority of our commission is working hard and is capable to perform the proper planning for the future of our county.
Mr. Jon Hartman should be applauded for his work and knowledge. I just wish he had the time to partner up with us to get us started because it is evident our leadership has not shown the capability to get this started. This is the ideal time to start developing a base or foundation for the future. I know this may ruffle someone’s feathers but, tough crap!
