Bristol man killed in motorcycle crash Saturday

A Bristol man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash near Mallard Cove Road on Saturday when he hit a truck head-on.
Jason M. Ramirez, 31, Bristol, was riding east on U.S. Highway 321 in a group of five motorcyclists around 3:30 p.m. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, he passed three of the others at high speed and rounded a curve near Mallard Cove Road.
Ramirez hit a Toyota Tundra that was traveling west head-on and was thrown from his motorcycle. The truck was driven by Harvey Burniston Jr., 57, of Butler. Burniston was not injured.
After the collision, Ramirez’s motorcycle went into the eastbound lane and hit another motorcyclist in the group. Paul Grant, 46, also of Butler, was injured after he was knocked from his motorcycle in that incident.
No charges were filed in the crash.
