Elizabeth Cottle

Elizabeth Cottle, 72, of Wilmington, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Elizabeth was born on January 21, 1942 in Altoona, Fla., the daughter of the late James Price and Mamie Edens Price Dickenson. She was also preceded by her husband, Rev. R.D. Cottle; step-father, Rev. A.B. Dickenson; infant brother, J.C. Price; brother, Kurbie Price; and sister, Ruth Whittaker.
Elizabeth was born in Florida but spent most of her life in Elizabethton, Tenn. She loved kids, going to church and spending time with family and friends. She conducted the weekly Bible study and was the birthday party planner for the residents of Gresham Place where she lived.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Sheila Cottle; son, Joseph Cottle (Jackie); grandchildren, Soncee and India; sister, Gracie Range (Jerry); brother-in-law, Frankie Whittaker; special nieces and nephews, Mary Presnell, Debbie Webb, Jean Fitzgerald, Sandy Honeycutt, Bill Rogers, Chris Range, Cheryl Stevens and Jennifer Maddies; several great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pam Campbell and Wanda Hyder.
Visitation was held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Pine Valley Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Larry Horrell officiating. The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn.
