James David Cline Sr.

James David Cline Sr., 72, of Hampton, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his residence.
James was born in Marion, N.C., a son of the late Avery Fred and Lucy Duncan Cline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Marie Fletcher Cline.
Mr. Cline was retired from Alcoa and was a member of the NRA.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Orlando Baello, Kenmore, Wash.; one son and daughter-in-law, James Cline Jr. and Crystal Cline, Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Katelin Cline, Henry Cline and Zoe Cline, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Fred Cline and Mike Cline, both of North Carolina; and one sister, Madge McGilvary of North Carolina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Cline will be conducted at noon Thursday, September 18, in the Fletcher Cemetery in Butler, Tenn., with Pastor Lambert Wood officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Thursday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Elizabethton Humane Society or to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
