Paul Donley Minton

Paul Donley Minton, 44, of Bluff City, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at his residence.
He was born January 21, 1970 in Washington County, to the late Kenneth Ray and Charlotte Loretta Richardson Minton. He had lived most of his life in Bluff City.
Paul was retired due to disability as a machinist. He was a member of Brookside Baptist Church, Bristol.
Paul loved to write music. Some of the songs he wrote are: “Out On the Lane,” “When Jesus Wiped the Tears Away,” “Precious Son of God” and ”Now I Don’t Have to Go.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Howard “Otis” Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Marie Fitzgerald Minton; a son, Sean Ray Minton, of the home; a daughter, Rose Marie Minton, of the home; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, David McKinley and Teresa Davis and Bob Phillip and Gena Minton, all of Elizabethton, Daniel Roscoe and Cindy Minton and James Grayson and Melissa Minton, all of Bluff City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Minton will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Nixon and Pastor Frank Cornelius officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 19, in the Richardson Cemetery (Stoney Creek). Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, will be Sean Minton, Nathaniel Minton, Roy Rumley, Troy Rumley, Garrett Minton, Allen Bare, Ryan Denton, Hunter Fitzgerald and Justin Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Sam “Pap Paw” Richardson and his church family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Paul to the Brookside Baptist Church, 1558 Vance Tank Road, Bristol, TN 37621.
