Anna Lea White
Anna Lea White, 88, of Elizabethton, entered into rest Monday, October 20, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd William and Pearl Holtsclaw Culler.
Mrs. White was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to quilt, sew and sharing her love to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lowbrite White, March 2, 2000, and by six sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne and Pat White, Crestview, Fla., Beryl and Barbara White, Eldon and Kathy White and Mike White, all of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a special niece, Louise McQueen; and two sisters-in-law, Estelle Culler and Anna Belle White, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. White will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23, in the Lyons Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Music will be provided by Jay Walsh. Active pallbearers will be Wayne White, Beryl White, Eldon White, Mike White, George McQueen and Brad White. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and Dr. Dean McLaughlin and his staff. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
