Glenda Gail Brown Gentry

Glenda Gail Brown Gentry, 59, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at her residence after an illness of five months.
A native of Lenoir, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Billy Mack Brown and Betty Jean Perkins Whitson.
Mrs. Gentry had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a former employee of Alemite Corporation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Huskins.
Survivors include her husband, David C. Gentry; two children, Leisa Brown, Unicoi, and Mark Brown and wife Aimee, Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Dominic Brown and MaKenzie Casey; a brother, Bobby Brown, Greeneville, Tenn.; and four sisters, Candy McDonald and husband Bill, Lenoir, N.C., and Connie, Kathy and Christi Whitson, all of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Gentry will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Haley officiating. Music will be provided by Dominic Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Gentry to the American Cancer Society, c/o Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Ave., Elizabethton, TN 37643. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
