Jerry R. Stout, 74, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Hermitage Health Center.
He was born in Carter County, Tenn., and was the son of the late Rev. Homer and Margaret Young Stout.
Mr. Stout was a retired electrician, having worked as a supervisor with the B.P. Gas Company in Alaska. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Heartland Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing and loved the water.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Stout, and a sister, Frances Stansberry.
Survivors include his fiancée, June Lumpley, and his children, Donna and Gloria of Georgia, D.D. of Florida and Kenny of Illinois; and a sister, Shirley Berry and her husband Jack, Elizabethton.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Stout will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 23, at Heartland Fellowship Church with Pastor Marvin Slagle and Rev. Gary Carter officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, prior to the memorial service.
