Dorothy Chambers

Ms. Dorothy Chambers, 83, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late Henry William and Callie Deloach Chambers and was born in Elizabethton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Ms. Chambers was a member of Sims Hill Christian Church and a retired waitress from Tasty Freeze.
Ms. Chambers is survived by a sister, Ruby Glover, Bristol, Va.; two nieces, Vickie Chambers and Louanne Chambers, both of Elizabethton; and five nephews, Terry Chambers, Fred Chambers, Elizabethton, Johnny Chambers, Houston, Texas, Ed Glover and Larry Glover, both of Bristol, Va. A grand-niece, Brandi Glover, Abingdon, Va., also survives.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Dorothy Chambers will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Ed Glover, minister, and Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will follow the service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
