Norma Dora Holloway Jones

Norma Dora Holloway Jones, 56, of Butler, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Johnson County Community Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1958 in Carter County, Tenn., to Norma Ruth Reece Hopkins and the late Hunter Holloway.
Norma was known as “Nanny” to many. She loved all children but especially her grandbabies. She was a member of Fish Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her constant companion and caregiver, Donald Jones; mother and step-father, Norma Ruth and James Hopkins; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy Potter and husband Michael and Sylvia McCranie; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Morefield and husband Rev. Chuck Morefield; five grandchildren, Samantha Adcox, Clay Potter, Nina Roush, Dennis McCranie and John McCranie; nephew, Tyler Morefield; best friend, Sheryl; her cat, Lucifer “Lucy”; and by several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 22, at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 7 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Morefield officiating. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, at Rock Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Potter, Tyler Morefield, David Mullins and Christopher Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Miller, Coleman Brown, Earl Morefield and Clay Potter. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 4421 Little Dry Run Road, Butler, Tenn. Memorial contributions in Norma’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4660 Old Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37918.
