Walter Brownlow Slagle III

Walter Brownlow Slagle III, 41, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Washington County and had lived a number of years in Middle Tennessee before returning to East Tennessee.
Mr. Slagle was a graduate of Paige High School, Franklin, Tenn. He was a Tool and Dye Sitter and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kyle Williams, and his paternal grandparents, Walter Brownlow and Helen Slagle.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Sue Miller Slagle; his parents, Walt and May Williams Slagle; a foster son, Jacob Bradley Miller; three step-children, Eric White and Kyle White, both of Johnson City, and Michael White Jonesborough; five step-grandchildren; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
A memorial service for Mr. Slagle will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. Private inurnment will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
