Oklee W. Hardin, 89, of Elizabethton, passed away at Pine Ridge Care Center on Thursday, December 25, 2014.
She was born in Wise County, Va., to Walter and Cora Taylor Nichols, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Hardin, and a sister, Evelyn Souder.
Oklee worked for 42 years at North American Rayon Company, and retired from there. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by Anthony Lynn Hardin, son, and his wife, Janelle, Elizabethton; granddaughters, Tracey and David Cox, and Jennifer Saylor; great-grandchildren, Juston Cox, Jarrett Cox and Rilee Saylor; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Jack Cole, Elizabethton.
Private graveside services for Mrs. Hardin were conducted Saturday at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Music was provided by Mr. Elmer Sams. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Rev. Brian Smith, Mr. Elmer Sams and the staff of Pine Ridge for their love and support during Mrs. Hardin’s illness.
