Mrs. Louise Sibley Jackson, 77, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015.
She was a native of Gay, Ga., and had made her home in Gordon for most of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Lindsey and Louise Bowles Sibley; sister, Sally Brooks; and brother, Hugh Sibley.
Mrs. Jackson was retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base after 36 years and the Wilkinson County Tax Assessors office after 12 years. She was a member of Gordon First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Jackson Sr.; daughter, Celeste (Keith) Harkins of Ivey; son, Charles B. (Danita) Jackson Jr. of Gordon; sister, Marilyn (Jerry) Bowers of Elizabethton, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jason (Krista) Harrison, Brandon (Michelle) Jackson, Lauren Jackson and Tiffany (Donnie) Aplin; and great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Amerson, Payton Amerson, Colton “CJ” Jackson and Peyton Aplin. A number of nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gordon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Mays and Rev. Charles Cleary officiating. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will be at Williams Funeral Home in Gordon from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday to receive friends.
