Charles “Grady” Parlier

Charles “Grady” Parlier, 85, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late James Carl and Martha Cannon Parlier.
Mr. Parlier retired from North American Rayon Corporation after 44 years. He was of the Christian faith and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Quincy Parlier, and a sister, Ivalee Pierce.
Survivors include his wife, Selma M. Colbaugh Parlier, of the home, and several nieces and nephews.
A service to honor the life of Charles “Grady” Parlier was conducted on Sunday, January 11, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Scott Fisher, minister, officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment followed the service at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers were Allen Parlier, Jim Colbaugh, Doug Colbaugh, Ricky Colbaugh, Jason Wiseman, Jason Pearman, Hershel Scalf and Ronnie Colbaugh.
