Barbara May Miller Crowder, 83, of Elizabethton, passed way Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of New Bedford, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Evelyn Besse Miller.
Mrs. Crowder had lived in Elizabethton for the past 39 years. She loved to quilt and crochet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Crowder, who died September 18, 2012, and a son, Darren Brodeur.
Survivors include her children, Mechelle Livingston, Elizabethton, Marie Crowder, John Crowder and wife Karen, Brenda Nelson and husband Donald, and JoAnn Scrivani; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Mary, Sheena, Leah, Jeremy and Whitney; and a brother, Paul Miller and wife Lynne, New Bedford, Mass.
A memorial service for Barbara May Miller Crowder will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Alan King officiating. Graveside services and inurnment will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
