Danny R. Troutman, 54, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Danny was born in Elizabethton, a son of Ralph and Billie Jean Blackwell Troutman, Elizabethton.
Mr. Troutman had worked as a welder for Century 3 and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Chris B. Troutman and wife Stephanie, Charlotte, N.C.; two nieces, Virginia Page Troutman and Donna Lea Troutman; a nephew, William Briggs Troutman; cousins, Keith Blackwell, Timothy Blackwell, Christy Johnson and Brent Blackwell; and three uncles, David Blackwell and wife Wilma, Coburn Jack Blackwell and wife Patsy and Robert Lee Blackwell and wife Brenda.
A graveside service to honor the life of Danny R. Troutman will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, in the Troutman Cemetery in Roan Mountain, Tenn., with Rev. Jim Story and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Friends and family may call at the residence at anytime. Active pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Guinn, Maynard Campbell, Ted Walsh, Dickey Blackwell, Jack Troutman, J.L. Troutman, Guy Troutman and Brent Blackwell. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to two of his special uncles, J.L. Blackwell and David Blackwell, who he spent a lot of time with working on cars, to Margie Valentine, to his neighbor and special friend, Ruby Hatley, to the Johnson City Medical Center Radiologist Department and to the Vanderbilt Round Wing Unit on the 5th floor.
