Peggy Shell Usary

Peggy Shell Usary, 73, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Hermitage Health Center.
She was born in Washington County to the late Ernest R. and Mary Edythe Pearman Shell and lived her entire life in Elizabethton.
Peggy was a 1960 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a retired LPN.
Peggy was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Louise Higgins, Johnson City; a grandson, Michael Ray Walker, Johnson City; two great-grandchildren, Dagan Michael Walker and Luccus James Walker; and several cousins, including a special cousin, Nancy Crumley.
A celebration of life service for Peggy Shell Usary will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Tapp and the Rev. Ed Talley officiating. Interment will follow the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Center, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Judy Lewis.
