Rick Allen Winkle

KINGSPORT — Rick Allen Winkle, 57, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015, at his home with his family.
Mr. Winkle was born on March 14, 1957 in Kingsport, Tenn., the son of the late Leonard Winkle and Nina Rae McCracken Winkle Kelley.
Mr. Winkle was a graduate of East Tennessee State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration. He was Vice President of Electronic Banking at Citizens Bank where he had worked for 21 years. He was of the Presbyterian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Stella McCracken and Herbert Winkle and Della Winkle Scalf.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Lisa Estepp Winkle; two sons, Garrett T. Winkle and Griffin S. Winkle; his stepfather, Gene Kelley; a stepbrother, Jeff Kelley; a stepsister, Dana Kelley McEntire; an aunt, Shelby Winkle Roberts and husband, Ralph; and an uncle, Larry Winkle.
The family received friends Monday, January 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services for Rick Allen Winkle were held at 7 p.m. Monday in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grover Starnes officiating. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 20, at 11 a.m. in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rob Childress, Ronnie Carrol, Terry Roop, Tim Broyles, Roger Davis, Tim Colbaugh, Dennis Fields and Jeff Kelley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
