Cynthia K. Frazier Freeman, 58, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at her residence.
Cynthia was a native of Carter County and the daughter of Ruth Ann Bowers Cullop of Elizabethton and the late Robert Lillis Frazier Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Austin Frazier.
Mrs. Frazier retired from Tennessee Flag Company and was a member of Borderview Christian Church. She loved to can and was known for her great cooking. She loved her dogs, Spot, Jeb and Cocoa.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Gregory “Rebel” Freeman, of the home; two daughters, Startina Smith, Roanoke, Va., and Taran Hurley, Knoxville; a son, Cody Hurley, Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Aaron Carr, Theron Hall and Cheyenne Hall, all of Roanoke, Va., and Baylee Alexandria Hurley, Elizabethton; three brothers, Bob Frazier, Jimmy Frazier and wife Jama, and Terry Frazier, all of Elizabethton; a half sister, Becky Stallard, Elizabethton; and a half brother, John Frazier, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Cynthia K. Frazier Freeman will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 23, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Scott Fisher, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ray Don Markland and Scott Reynolds. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Gregory “Rebel” Freeman, Cody Hurley, Dustin Hurley, Bob Frazier, Jimmy Frazier, Terry Frazier and John Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hipsher and Theron L. Hall. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, to go in procession.
