Michael Danny Trivette, age 63, of 638 Poga Road, Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from Bristol Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Mike was a native of Carter County and a son of Gladys “Sis” Trivette, of the home and the late Joseph Elmer Trivette. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Trivette Henson and a brother, Boyd Trivette.
Mike never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone he met. He liked to go fishing and enjoyed old cars and trucks.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his girlfriend and constant companion of 28 years, Beatrice Holtsclaw, of the home; two brothers, Dale Potter, Maryville, TN, and Bobby Trivette, Butler, TN; and a sister, Glenda Kay Brush, Morristown, TN. Several nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends and neighbors also survive.
A service to honor the life of Michael Danny Trivette will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Stone Mountain Baptist Church, 701 Poga Road, Butler, Tennessee, with Pastor Charles Cable, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Elizabeth Guy and Sheila Trivette. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM in the church, prior to the service on Sunday.
The graveside service will follow in the Stone Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Trivette, Patrick Potter, Donnie Lambert, Dewayne Holtsclaw, Ronnie Holtsclaw and Troy Branch. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Buckles, Weston Potter, Raymond Guy and Gary Guy.
