Randal Baldwin

Randal Baldwin, 87, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, surrounded by family at his home. A native of Kingsport, he was the son of the late Rev. K.W. and Vollie McClellan Baldwin.
Randal proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City. Randal worked for Retail Credit Company and later retired from Laws-Troutman Insurance Company.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, Randal was preceded in death by an infant brother, Eugene Baldwin; a brother, Don Baldwin; and a brother-in-law, Bill Stallard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 68 years, Evelyn Little Baldwin, of the home; two children, Steve Baldwin and wife Leanna of Johnson City, and Laura Baldwin Chinouth of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Josh Baldwin of Johnson City, Rachel Sari and husband Ismail of Salihli, Turkey, Jordan Chinouth and wife Amy of Watkinsville, Ga., and Grant Chinouth of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Jackson Chinouth, Adalyn Chinouth and Selin Sari; one sister, Reba Stallard of Columbia, Md.; a sister-in-law, Lida Baldwin, Apex, N.C.; special friend, Vanessa Via; and several nieces and nephews.
For those who prefer, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Randal to Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 East Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Randal at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 8, at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City, with Dr. Mark Gooden officiating. The family will greet guests to share memories from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 9, at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton. Attendees are asked to meet at the cemetery are 10:50 a.m. Pallbearers are Josh Baldwin, Jordan Chinouth, Grant Chinouth, Terry Flanary, Russ Flanary, Chris Little, Mike Malone and Edward Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Little, Mike Laws, Ron Rogers, Harold Lingerfelt, Howard Bowers, Jim Cambron, Tuesday Morning Emmaus Prayer Group and Philosophers Sunday School Class at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church.
