Charles Kenneth “Crawford” Scott

Charles Kenneth “Crawford Scott, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Bluefield, Va., he was a son of the late William and Virginia Tickle Scott. He had lived a number of years in Elizabethton.
Charles was a retired butcher, having worked at Smithdeal’s, Giant and Food City. Charles was a member of Elizabethton Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Hoilman Scott, in 1986, and by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Robert K. Scott Sr. and wife Sharon, Lafayette, Ind.; a grandson, Robert K. Scott, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Tracy King, Jonesborough; three sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview Health Center, Carolyn and the whole ICU staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Dr. Robert Walter, his caregiver, Jewel Jones, Pastor Roby Ellis, his special friends, Ken Burrow, Ken Rainbolt, Ray Jaminson and Vivien Lewis, two little special friends, Marley and Morgan, and his church family at Elizabethton Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elizabethton Church of Christ, 137 East C Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or the Tri Cities School of Preaching, 1162 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 13, at the Elizabethton Church of Christ. It was Charles’ wish to be cremated.
