Mozella Orr

Mozella Orr, 83, of Brentwood, Tenn., formerly of the Valley Forge Community, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at NHC Place at Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn., following a brief illness.
Mozella was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late James “Jim” and Daisy Mae Headrick Hampton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Joe Orr, and two brothers, Benic Preston Hampton and Lester Hampton.
Mrs. Orr had worked as a florist, a seamstress and at Happy Valley Memorial Park, which she enjoyed. She was a very active member of Valley Forge Christian Church and loved to sew, paint and create floral arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Orr and wife Patricia, Winter Garden, Fla., and Timothy J. Orr and wife Pamela Denise, Franklin, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Daniel Orr, Caitlin Orr, Cody Orr, Blake Orr, Nikki Gray and Kayla Gray; and a brother, William “Wimpy” Hampton, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mozella Orr will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. David Siebenaler and Mr. H. Clay Bailey, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Valley Forge Christian Church. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Valley Forge Christian Church. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Jones. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Valley Forge Christian Church, 114 V F Christian Church Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
