Johnny Wayne Turner Sr., 63, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at his home.
Mr. Turner was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Charlie and Helen Blackburn Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Richard Turner.
Survivors include his sons, Johnny Turner Jr. and Dustin Turner, both of Elizabethton; grandchildren, Cassie and Chloe Turner; and sisters, Margaret Miller and Pauline Williams, both of Elizabethton.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Johnny Wayne Turner Sr. will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Doc Miller officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dustin Turner, Johnny Turner Jr., Derek Simerly, Steve Williams and Michael Duffy.
