Barbara Jane Johnson, 65, of Hampton, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Cincinnati, Ohio from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Barbara was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy McNeal Adams.
Survivors include one son, Tony Slagle Jr., one granddaughter, Brittany Slagle, and a special friend and father of her son, Tony Slagle Sr., all of Elizabethton.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Larry Campbell and Pastor Roy Wilson officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 2 p.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tetrick Funeral Home, 211 North Riverside Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643 to help with funeral expenses.
