Frances Nell White Treadway, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 26, 2015, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late O.F. and Lone White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Eston B. Treadway, who died September 7, 2014.
Nell was a 1938 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a homemaker and owner of O.F. White Store. Nell and her late husband were lifelong farmers and operated the store for a number of years. She loved to work in her flowers.
Nell was a member of Siam Baptist Church.
Survivors are a special cousin, Robert White, and a special niece, Joyce Treadway, both of Elizabethton.
Graveside services for Frances Nell White Treadway will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Eric Wright officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be selected from friends and neighbors in attendance. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1938 Graduating Class of Elizabethton High School. The family would like to thank the visiting Angels Home Care for the wonderful care she was given. Also, a special “Thank You” to her “Special Angels,” Carmon, Jennifer, Liz, Angela, Sandra and Tracy. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
