Pearl Marie Vance Cable Hubbard

Pearl Marie Vance Cable Hubbard, 64, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from her residence. Pearl was born on August 26, 1950 in Washington County, Tenn., to the late Dave and Mae Brown Vance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Vance, and a dear friend, Brice Cable.
Mrs. Hubbard had worked as a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include three sisters, Linda Taylor, of the home, Rita Taylor and husband Eddie, of Elizabethton, and Sonia Banner, of Hampton; three brothers, Jay Dee Vance and wife Sharon, of Johnson City, Danny Vance and wife Margrett, of Unicoi, and Bobby Vance and wife Shelby, of Johnson City; a sister-in-law, Verna Vance, of Elizabethton; a dear friend, Terry Taylor, of Hampton; her “adopted children,” David Vance and wife Amanda, of Elizabethton, Tonya Taylor Osborne and husband Homer, of Kingsport, Samantha Vance and fiancé Kyle Fitch, of Hampton, Donny Davis and fiancée Lissa Long, of Johnson City, and April Vance and fiancé Heath Hoyle; her grandchildren, Andrew Vance, Zara Vance and Maddison Greenwell; and a cousin, that was just like a sister, Erma Lee Barns. Several beloved nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
A service to honor the life of Pearl Marie Vance Cable Hubbard will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Buddy Street officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service, or at the residence at anytime. The graveside service will follow in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Vance, Donny Davis, Kyle Fitch, Allen Tolley, Tennessee Vance and Homer Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Taylor, Eddie Taylor and friends of her community. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her special caregivers, Juanita Sheffield, of Heavenly Sunshine, and Debra Uncapher, of Allen Health Care, for all the wonderful care they have provided for Pearl during her illness.
