Kimberly Lynn Rosenbaum Shaffer

Kimberly Lynn Rosenbaum Shaffer, 48, of Bluff City, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Bristol Regional Hospital. She was born in Boone, N.C., but had lived most of her life in Carter and Sullivan counties.
Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Lynn Shaffer; four children, Freddie Frank Cox III, Brittany Diane Nicole Cox and Crystal Shea Cox, all of Bristol, and James Trevor Cox, Elizabethton; eight grandchildren; her mother, Katherine Hinkle Jones, Bluff City; three sisters, Sherry Hinkle and Jimmie Ann Williams, both of Bluff City, and Veronica Miller, Blountville; and two half brothers, Johnny and Frankie Rosenbaum, both of North Carolina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services for Kimberly Lynn Rosenbaum Shaffer will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the Spears Family Cemetery, Watauga, with Pastor David Nelson officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. To those who prefer, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
Memorial Funeral Chapel, 212 N. Main Street, Elizabethton, is serving the Shaffer family.
