Anthony “Tony Ray” Niles

Anthony “Tony Ray” Niles, 43, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the residence of his mother, Lois Powell, as the results of MS.
Anthony was born in Denver, Colo., to the late Paul A. Niles, father, and mother Lois Ratliff Powell. Anthony lived several years in Elizabethton and attended Happy Valley High School. He graduated from North Platt High School, North Platt, Neb. He was an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Amy Sue Eggert Niles; four children, Joseph Niles, Dakota Ray Niles, Amanda Shea Niles, all of Nebraska, and John Michael Niles of North Carolina; two grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Lois and Robert Powell; three brothers, Albert J. Niles and wife Tammy, Ben and wife Lynette Niles and Paul Arnold and wife Julie Niles, all of Nebraska; a sister and caregiver, Rebecca and husband Howard Wellborn, of the home; step-sisters, Sue Thompson, Peggy Baker and Missy Bacher; his step-mother, Maggie Jacobs; several nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Chloe May Niles.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Bob and Charlotte Coffey, Robin Peters, Chelsie Obanon, Kara Peters, Paul Herman, Karen Garland and the staff of Pro-Caris.
There will be a memorial service and visitation on Sunday, April 12, from 2 until 5 p.m. at the home, 155 George Brown Road, Elizabethton, Tenn.
