Amy Amanda Ryder

Amy Amanda Ryder, 27, Roan Mountain, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born January 26, 1988 at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Banner Elk, N.C.
Amy was home schooled through high school and received her GED in 2009. She attended three semesters at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn., and one semester at Northeast State.
Amy was a lifelong member of the Roan Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her hobbies included birding, photography, reading and needlework. She was also an excellent cook, sharing her skills at church pot luck dinners.
She is survived by her parents, Eldon and Vanessa Ross Ryder; her sister, Erin Ryder; her paternal grandfather, Everett Ryder; an uncle, Eric Ryder; her aunt and uncle, Nancy and Michael King; and two cousins, Linda King and Travis King.
A memorial service for Amy Amanda Ryder will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at the Roan Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
