Ollie Nave

Ollie Nave, 89, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center, following a brief illness. Ollie was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Blanche Wilson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Nave, and by four brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Nave was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and loved her dog, “Buffy,” and her cat, “Lovey.” She loved all children.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Stevens of Elizabethton, and Dema Cain of Euclid, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Ollie Nave will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Doug Hinshaw officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, prior to the service, or at the residence of her niece, Judy Grindstaff, at anytime. A private graveside service will be held following the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center for the love and care shown to Mrs. Nave during her illness.
