Phillip Eugene Lockhart

Phillip Eugene Lockhart, born October 18, 1954, in Kingsport, Tenn., passed away April 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Lockhart, and mother-in-law, Mary Lynn Van Huss.
Phil triumphed over juvenile diabetes for 51 years. He displayed courage and bravery throughout his life. Phil was a humble, kind-hearted person who exhibited his Christian beliefs every day.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Van Huss Lockhart of Arlington, Texas; his mother, Evelyn Lockhart; a sister, Carolyn McCrary; nephews, Brian McCrary and Mark McCrary; and an uncle, Richard Self, all of Kingsport, Tenn.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 29, at 12:30 p.m. at Indian Springs Baptist Church, Glenwood Campus, 2601 East Center Street, Kingsport, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Greater Ft.
