Elizabeth Dawn Stover

Elizabeth Dawn Stover, Carter County, died unexpectedly at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., on October 20, 1951 to the late Howard “Kim” Hendrix and Sally Treadway Hendrix.
Elizabeth was a veteran of the Vietnam War, formerly stationed in Korea, and extremely proud of her service to her country. She loved flowers and her dogs, Nala and Scamper.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Hicks; her second husband, William Stover; and a brother, Charles H. Hendrix Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, April Nicole Hicks Lindsey (Jimmy); granddaughter, Noell Lindsey of Florida; sisters, Charlotte Dugger (Carmon), Janene Allen (Bill), Linda Shelton and Nancy Matilda Spires (Tommy); and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at Southside Christian Church in Elizabethton on Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. with Michael Koruschak officiating. Charles Dugger will provide special music. The family is honoring Elizabeth’s request to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter.
Snyder’s Memorial Gardens is serving the Stover family with honor.
