Conley Wayne Guy

Conley Wayne Guy, 72, of Hampton, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, Tenn., he was the son of the late Raymond and Lela Pierce Guy.
Mr. Guy was a retired roofer, truck driver and school bus driver. He was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. He loved woodworking and making picture frames and he loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Guy, of the home; two daughters, Sally Honeycutt, Hickory, N.C., and Lela Guy Sherrill, of the home; two sons, Dwayne Guy and Jody Guy, both of Hampton, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Etta Markland, Roan Mountain, Tenn.; two step-sons, William Burrow and Henry Burrow, Roan Mountain, Tenn.; 10 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Guy and wife Sally, Johnson City, Tenn.; and four half brothers, Norman, Steve, R.C. and Tim Guy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Conley Wayne Guy will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Dean Presnell officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Johnny Palmer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence at anytime.
