Quinn L. Nave

Quinn L. Nave, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the James H. Quillen VA Community Living Center. Mr. Nave was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Henry and Myrtle Stout Nave. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Lewis Nave, on May 10, 2015; two sisters, Edith Potter and Edna Weinkan; and a brother, Maine Nave.
Mr. Nave retired as a self-employed, electronics technician. He was a member of Doe River Baptist Church and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
Survivors include his son, John Nave, Elizabethton; a grandson, Brett Michael Nave, Nashville, Tenn.; and a brother, Albert Nave. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Quinn L. Nave will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Daniel Fink and Rev. Herman Crumley officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, or at the residence at anytime. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the American Cancer Society, C/O Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
