Joseph Francis Jackson, 53, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Peoria, Ill., and had lived in Elizabethton since 1963.
Prior to his disability, Joe was a truck driver. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Butler. His hobby was riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Richard Jackson.
Survivors include his daughter, Toni Jackson, and son-in-law, Josh Walker, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Kylie Walker; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Roy Wilson and Mary and Sam Orduna, all of Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Sherry Jackson, Johnson City; his mother, Barbara Shipp Jackson, Elizabethton; his daughter’s mother, Nadine Jackson, Elizabethton; and his very special dogs, Axel and Midnight.
Memorial services for Joseph Francis Jackson will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Rock Springs Baptist Church, Butler, with the Rev. Roy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may also visit with any family at their residence. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Church, Charles Taylor, Mike Taylor, Lynn Davis, Roy Wilson, Charlie Stevens, Josh Walker, Shannon Guinn and his church family.
