Louise Simerly

Mrs. Louise Simerly, 89, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness.
A native of Johnson County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Pink and Erma Wolfe Watson.
Mrs. Simerly had worked at the Bemberg Corporation and also at the Publix Deli. She was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church where she had taught the Junior Girls Sunday School Class. She enjoyed her family and especially her great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Simerly.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lewis and husband Pat, Elizabethton; a grandson, Terry Lewis and wife Jaclyn, Elizabethton; and a great-granddaughter, Meagan Elizabeth Lewis.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Louise Simerly will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. David Siebenaler and Mr. H. Clay Bailey, ministers, officiating. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in the Simerly Cemetery, Valley Forge Community. Active pallbearers will be Jack Guy, Ronnie Nave, James Heaton, Craig Shaw, Tyler Shaw, Gavin Heaton and Terry Feathers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence of her daughter at anytime.
