Barbara Ann “Tina” Carr McNeal, 64, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015, the first full day of summer. Tina was born August 31, 1950 in Covington, Ky., to the late Harry Dewitt Carr and Hildred Lillian Carr Simerly Montgomery.
Tina had lived in Elizabethton for the past 40 years. She was a Quality Control Inspector with Southeastern Apparel. She was also the Recreation Coordinator for Buffallo Valley. Tina was a lifelong member of Westside Christian Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tonya McNeal; her grandson, Cody McNeal, and granddaughters, Casey Dent and husband Zach, and Rosey Prater; her great-grandsons, Malakhi Shaver, Leland Brewer and Zakhiah Dent; her great-granddaughter, Kayla Geisler; her sister, Darlene Lemming of Chicago; her special friends, Anthony Stewart, Teresa Stevens, Holly and Steven McMillan; and her beloved dog, Maggie Mae. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Greg Key, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Agape Nursing & Rehab Center.
