Howard G. Bliss, 83, of Elizabethton, Tenn., formerly of Clarkston, Mich., died July 4, 2015.
He was the husband of Charlotte; father of Howard Jr., Sandy (Kerry) Snow; stepfather of Glenda Britt, Rusty (Irene) Lewis; grandfather of Howard III, Courtney, Julie, Ryan, Eric, Alex; and great-grandpa of seven.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emily Kay.
Howard retired from the Clarkston Post Office after 33 years of service. He was the first walking postal carrier for Clarkston. He served his country with the United States Army and was a member of Boy Scouts of America, American Legion Post #377 and Clarkston Eagles.
The funeral service will be held Monday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, where friends may visit Sunday, July 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment/Military Honors will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
