Mary Lewis Waters Richesin

Mary Lewis Waters Richesin, 92, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Appalachian Christian Village of Johnson City. Mrs. Richesin was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Landon and Lena Smith Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Gerald Waters and Bronce Richesin, and a son, Gerald L. Waters Jr.
Mrs. Richesin worked as an electrical assembler for Sperry Corporation for 20 years and attended Valley Forge Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Mike Waters and companion, Kerry, Carolina Beach, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jason Waters and Joshua Waters and wife Melissa, all of North Carolina, Cyndi Witek and husband Roger of Texas, and Lee Waters and wife Katrina of California; six great-grandchildren, Nicole and Jack Waters of California, Leigh Witek of Texas, Connor and Dylan Waters of North Carolina and Jeremy Wood of North Carolina; a great-great-grandchild, Brooklynne Wood of North Carolina; a step-granddaughter, Ashley Moore and husband Richard of North Carolina; and a step-great-grandson, Daymian Moore, also of North Carolina.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Lewis Waters Richesin will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jason Waters, Joshua Waters, Connor Waters, Lee Waters, Jeremy Wood and Ricky Lewis. Honorary pallbearer will be Zane Teague. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
