Robert Lincoln “Bob” Richardson Jr.

Robert Lincoln “Bob” Richardson Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the V.A. Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tenn. He was a native of Johnson City and son of the late Robert Lincoln Richardson Sr. and Goldie Murr Richardson.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a supply clerk during the Vietnam War where he received several awards including the Bronze Star.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Joe and Andy Richardson, and two infant sisters, Sylvia and Mary Ann.
Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his wife of 53 years, Gail Orr Richardson; daughters, Debbie, Kaylee and Khloe Richardson; sons, Bobby Richardson and his wife Cheryl, Timmy and Daniel Richardson, Chris Richardson and his wife Crystie and Jonathan Richardson and his wife Amy; grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Emily, Karlee, Eric, Jordan, Josh, Darian and Ben; great-grandchild, Audrey; sisters, Shirley Stewart and Brenda Richardson; brothers, Johnny Richardson and Jackie Richardson, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob also leaves behind many foster children whom he provided a home to over the years.
The family will greet friends and relatives to share memories on Tuesday, July 21, from 5 p.m. until a Celebration of Bob’s Life at 7 p.m. at Westerly Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Butch Stout, Associate Pastor Bill Brown and Reverend Kenneth Kyker officiating. A graveside and committal service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Bob’s sons, grandsons and close friends will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Westerly Heights Baptist Church. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 2 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
