Kenneth Brummitt, 74, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Frank and Rebecca Wilcox Brummitt.
Kenneth was a carpenter and a member of Braemar Baptist Church. He loved working with wood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Brummitt, Elizabethton, and Mike Brummitt and wife Leanna, Hampton; three granddaughters, Michaela, Kortnee and Maggie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kenneth Brummitt will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, August 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Danny Osborne, the Rev. Dexter Brumit and the Rev. Luke Gwyn officiating. Music will be provided by the Friendship Free Will Baptist Church Choir. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22, in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
