Phyllis Free, age 80, of Scott County, VA, currently residing in Elizabethton, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 following an extended illness. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Free; daughter, Patsy Free; parents, Nobel Light and Mollie Green; and brother, D.J. Light.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Free and wife, Glenda; grandchildren, Megan Free and Daniel Free; brother, Sam Light and wife, Phyllis; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from Noon – 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA.
