10 arrested in Carter County drug bust

Officers of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department arrested 10 people from Carter, Johnson and Washington counties in connection with a drug investigation Monday and are asking for the public to help them find several more.
In a roundup that lasted several hours, officers of the Sheriff’s Department arrested 10 people on indictments handed down by a Carter County Grand Jury.
“The warrants were the result of several months of intensive investigation by deputies, who presented the cases to the Carter County Grand Jury last month,” Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford said. “The majority of the individuals charged were connected to methamphetamine related crimes, including the use, manufacture, and sale of the drug.”
Arrested in the round up were the following individuals:
• Daniel Ray Allmon, 28, of 211 Jenkins Hollow Road, Elizabethton, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Victor S.F. Mallare Jr., 23, of 504 Bradley Street, Elizabethton, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Dale Robert Blevins, 33, of 191 Cash Hollow Road, Elizabethton, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Carlena Chambers, 25, of 214 Rockhouse Road, Lot 36, Elizabethton, charged with two counts of the sale of Schedule II narcotics.
• Katherine Deitering, 35, of 403 Wall Street, Johnson City, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Mark Aaron Mounts, 24, of 223 Cabbage Patch Lane, Mountain City, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• George Paul Ford, 56, of 11304 Highway 421, Trade, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Steven Bradley Alexander, 27, of 299 Trivette Road, Mountain City, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Travis Matthew Johnson, 29, of 2294 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Shea Leann Freeman, 22, of 1473 Swift Hollow Road, Mountain City, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine.
In addition to the 10 arrested in connection with the round-up, Lunceford said officers are attempting to locate seven additional individuals who have outstanding warrants for their arrest as well.
Those individuals who are being sought by deputies are:
• Duane Yeager Jr., age 27
• Amy Collett Church, age 27
• Brittany M. Reece, age 24
• Johnny Scott Oliver, age 43
• Jeffery E. Tester, age 35
• Linda L. McConnell, age 51
• Tommie Michelle Dixon, age 38
