Janet Louise Smith Fritts

Janet Louise Smith Fritts, 62, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. Born June 12, 1953 in Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Harold Frank and Mary Belle Wolfe Smith.
Janet graduated from East Tennessee School of Nursing in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree. She was a former employee of Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport.
Janet was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She loved working in her flowers and loved animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Lynn Guy, and two brothers, Robert “Bobby” and James Ralph Smith.
Survivors include her two children, Tracy Guy Little and husband Alan and Travis Dean Sexton and wife Allison, all of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Seth Anthony and Gabriel Rayne Sexton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Dave Bartz and Brenda and Frank Grindstaff, all of Elizabethton; two sisters-in-law, Mary W. Smith and Judy Richardson; her dog Marley; and several nieces and nephews.
It was her wish to be cremated and a private memorial service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Janet to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O.
