Pamela Gwen “Pam” Rambo Hicks

The Lord took Pamela Gwen “Pam” Rambo Hicks, 61, of Elizabethton to be with Him on Monday, September 28, 2015, at her residence after a brief illness.
Pam was a native of Carter County and a 1971 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a member of the Order of Confederate Rose “Wild Mountain Roses” Chapter 11 of Elizabethton.
Pam attended Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was loved by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, C.W. Rambo.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Bill Hicks; her mother, Lillie Belle Colbaugh Rambo, Elizabethton; a sister, Paula Rambo, Unicoi; a brother, Perry Rambo and wife Debra, Elizabethton; several cousins; and her dog Missy.
Funeral services for Pamela Hicks will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 1, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Mr. Randy Carrier officiating. Music will be provided by Dale Williams, Dennis Laws and Gary Melvin, piper. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Sons of the Confederate Veterans. A memorial graveside service will be conducted by the Order of the Black Rose. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence or the residence of her mother, Lillie Belle Rambo, Elizabethton.
