As part of the festive Halloween and Fall seasons, residents and staff at Ivy Hall Nursing Home painted and carved pumpkins, and made other decorations for both the inside and outside of the facility.
“Residents love to decorate them,” said Jill Burrow, of the dietary department. “We started doing them last year and now we have enough to line the street out front once they are all outside.”
But the creativity isn’t just limited to pumpkins and gourds.
Staff member Kay Buchanan made a witch out of tin cans which hangs from a tree out front.
Similarly, residents used their resources and creativity to bring the street to life with Jack o’lanterns, witches and other characters of their own.
